Refunds, Returns & Cancellations Policy
British Bridal Wholesale | Elite Designer Fashions Ltd
Last updated: 19 October 2026
This Refunds, Returns & Cancellations Policy applies to business-to-business purchases made through British Bridal Wholesale by bridal boutiques, retailers and other authorised trade buyers.
British Bridal Wholesale is associated with Elite Designer Fashions Ltd, referred to in this policy as “the Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”. Our customers are referred to as “the Buyer” or “you”.
By placing a trade order with us, you agree to our applicable Terms and Conditions and this policy.
1. Returns Policy
All returns require prior written authorisation from Elite Designer Fashions Ltd.
As our products are supplied to bridal boutiques and trade buyers for resale, we do not accept returns simply because a Buyer has changed their mind, overestimated demand or no longer requires the goods.
-
Please contact us before returning any goods.
-
Do not dispatch goods until written return authorisation and instructions have been received.
-
Goods returned without prior written approval may be refused.
-
Authorisation to return goods does not automatically guarantee a refund.
Any approved return will be assessed in accordance with the agreed return arrangements, the terms of the original order and applicable law.
2. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods
Please inspect all goods carefully upon delivery or collection.
If you identify any defects, transit damage, shortages or discrepancies, notify us in writing as soon as possible.
Under our standard trade terms, the following notification periods apply:
-
Damage, visible defects or shortages: Written notification must be received within 2 days of delivery or collection.
-
Non-delivery: Claims must be made within 7 days of the invoice date.
-
Goods that do not meet the applicable quality or legal requirements: Claims must be submitted as soon as the issue is reasonably discoverable and, under our standard trade terms, within 14 days of delivery or collection.
Please include your order or invoice number, a description of the issue and photographs where appropriate.
You must allow us a reasonable opportunity to inspect the affected goods where necessary. Please retain the goods and their packaging until we have provided further instructions.
Where a claim is accepted, we will determine the appropriate remedy in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. This may include replacing defective or damaged goods, making good a shortage or providing a full or proportionate refund where appropriate.
3. Refunds
Refunds are not automatically available for unwanted goods or changes of mind on trade orders.
Where goods are confirmed to have been defective or not compliant with the applicable requirements at the time of delivery, we will assess the claim and determine an appropriate remedy under our Terms and Conditions and applicable law.
Depending on the circumstances, an accepted claim may result in:
-
Replacement of the affected goods.
-
Correction of a confirmed shortage.
-
A full or proportionate refund.
Where a refund is approved, we will confirm the amount and arrange payment using an appropriate method, ordinarily the original payment method where practicable.
Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution.
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
4. Order Cancellations
Once an order has been placed and accepted, cancellation is subject to our prior written agreement, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
If you wish to cancel an order, please email **wholesale@britishbridaloutlets.co.uk** as soon as possible, quoting your order number.
Where a cancellation is agreed, the Buyer may be responsible for expenses incurred by the Company up to the cancellation date and any other losses properly recoverable under the contract and applicable law.
We will confirm any agreed cancellation arrangements and any applicable charges in writing.
5. Bespoke and Made-to-Order Products
Some products may be available with bespoke, personalised or made-to-order options.
Orders involving bespoke or made-to-order products may be subject to additional terms agreed in writing before the order is confirmed.
Once production or other work has commenced, cancellation or amendment may be restricted and additional charges may apply where contractually agreed and legally permissible.
Please ensure that all measurements, specifications, style selections, colours and other requirements are checked carefully before confirming a bespoke order.
Any concerns regarding an alleged manufacturing defect or failure to meet the agreed specification must be reported promptly and will be assessed in accordance with our Terms and Conditions and applicable law.
6. Return Shipping and Costs
Return shipping, collection, packaging and related costs will be determined in accordance with the terms of the relevant order and any written return authorisation.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing or required by law, the Buyer is responsible for return costs associated with an approved return of unwanted goods.
Where goods are confirmed to be defective, damaged or incorrectly supplied, we will advise you of the appropriate arrangements and responsibility for any applicable costs.
Please do not arrange a return shipment before receiving our instructions.
7. Delivery Discrepancies and Shortages
The Buyer is responsible for checking delivered or collected goods against the relevant order and delivery documentation.
Any discrepancy in quantities, styles or items supplied should be reported in writing within the notification periods set out in Section 2.
Following review and any necessary inspection, we will arrange an appropriate resolution for confirmed shortages or discrepancies in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
8. Trade Buyer Responsibilities
As a trade customer, you are responsible for checking order details before confirming your purchase, providing accurate delivery information and inspecting goods promptly upon receipt.
Please retain your order confirmations, invoices and relevant delivery documentation to assist with any return or refund enquiry.
Our standard trade terms provide that goods remain the property of Elite Designer Fashions Ltd until payment has been received in full.
9. Applicable Law
This policy should be read alongside the Terms and Conditions of Elite Designer Fashions Ltd.
Our trade contracts are governed by the laws of England, subject to any applicable mandatory legal requirements.
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or restrict any liability, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
